Halifax

Just got an MIP with Halifax - does anyone have ideas how long a full application is taking with them at the moment? And how fussy they are with the ID side etc?

Thanks y'all!

    How "fussy" they are?

What is it you're worried about?

i just had completion last friday my mortgage with halifax took about 8 days. got mortgage offer 2 days after valuation was done.

only asked for normal id passport etc and bills.
never even asked for pay slips but i wasn't after a big mortgage so i don't know if that makes any difference

Thanks, sounds as though was pretty straight forward.

I just wondered if they were more fussy than other lenders in terms of the ID & paperwork. I've heard from broker that Nationwide, for example, are at the moment, dunno how true that is of course!

My hubby & I have everything so shouldn't be any probs - fingers crossed!

Nationwide have always been down the line. Halifax fastrack if thats what you mean, for the moment that is. I would make sure you got your payslips etc just in case!

    Good luck

  • i did notice that my offer in principle was a fixed rate for 3yrs but when mortgage offer came it was changed to 2 yrs, don't know if this is anything to do with all that is going on with mortgages at the moment though. but on plus side the rate was a better one than the offer in principle so i just got on with it,
