I have an dryer but can't remember the last time I used it, I go by my Nan's old saying 'if the pavement is dry, your washing will dry', seems to work too0

Are you sure there isn't a space anywhere for a clothes horse as that would be much better than having clothes all over the place.
Surprised that people still able to dry clothes outside at this time of year. I don't even try from October till March.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I find in winter nothing dries outside, just stays damp. Would take days to dry and who wants to take it in and out like a yo yo. Plus those of us with jobs it's not an option. I use clothes airers and radiators personally.0

Like others I do not have a tumble dryer and find that from now til about April things come in too damp to make it worth pegging them out so I use the radiators."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

I am down south and the start of the week we had temps of 17/18 dregrees, my thick heavy American towels were dry within an hour as it was so nice. Rain today though0 -

It's been mild here too in the N/East of Scotland with fairly similar temperatures but the hours of daylight and the damp air mean it's not worth it. There would probably be days they would dry but the effort isn't worth the chance.
Never heard of American towels though!!Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

We put ours on a clothes horse in our bedroom as we don't use our bedroom during the day. I've never been able to line dry in winter, our clothes would just become soggy and salty.0

They are one's we bought in America and my DH loves them! They are about 6 ft in length and soooo thick and heavy, I personally hate them but that could be because I am only 5ft and get lost in them and struggle to hold them up long enough to dry myself! :rotfl:0
