Dolls House

My husband very thoughtfully bought me a rather large dolls house, which I fell in love with immediately:o

I need to decorate and furnish it - ideally in Laura Ashley style. Does anyone know where is the best, and most reasonably priced, items can be found?

I got a dolls house for my birthday two years ago and like you - I love it.

I got a lot of my stuff from ebay. If you haven't looked before you will be surprised by how much is there.

I also printed my own wallpapers. I can't remember how I did it but I think I googled "wallpaper" and there are some online wallpaper shops who have thumbnails of different papers. If you clicked on the thumbnail it gave you a bigger picture which I copied and pasted into word a few times. I did have to move some of the "copies" around slightly until they matched and then printed three or four times or enough to cover one room. This meant I got my house exactly the way I wanted it.

Another tip - my bathroom and kitchen floors are actually samples of "small tiles" wallpaper which I got from B&Q. I saw wallpapers that were ideal and asked for samples - didn't say it was for the floor of my dolls house and they gave you a wide enough sample to more than cover the area.

I bought my mum one for xmas and got a lot of the furniture from Minimum World (online) i found it as cheap as Ebay . Everything came on time, given it was xmas period and all was well packed. I did alot of searching for best prices and all are pretty much the same , it seems.
