I was fortunate when I went I got exactly what I wanted. the little compacts that I got came with a little leather effect pouch and they do look nice..far more expensive than the £2.50 I paid for each one.

Speaking of this, on Friday I went around the 17 foundatins with a roll of cellotape and sealed up the foundations that hadn't been used and threw away the ones that had. Out of the 5 different foundation types on the stand I claimed for over £300 worth of used bottles and mineral compacts! I was absolutely disgusted as every type/colour had a tester in front of the display. I cannot believe how destructive people are! :mad:0 -
I picked up 3 of the Botanics striped bags, priced at £2 today. I was very late and forgot to use the machine. I checked the Berry holdall, and that was still £12. I might have a look again tomorrow. I am also going to have a look for the Bourjois tweezers, as I could do with a new pair.
I also decided to use some of my points to buy Davidoff Cool Water for Women. This has been reduced to £21. I asked if there were any of the Cool Water Splashproof MP3/Ipod speaker cases and the SA found one in a cupboard. The SA has a problem putting the perfume and the free gift through and then me paying in points. She called the Dior consultant over who explained she had to put the perfume through, only, and then write 'free gift' on my receipt. I think it was more to do with the fact you have to spend £25 to get the gift. I don't mind, because I wanted the perfume and I wanted my own speaker case. DS and DD took theirs to Tenerife last week and they did not have to worry about their Ipods getting wet.0 -

Wow that is alot of wastage! I take it it all had to be destroyed too?!
I do not think it is a lack of care from SA's etc. I can never believe how people treat the make up stands when you watch them. I am a terrible person watcher. I hate to generalise but...I have noticed that young girlies and people using the cheaper make up stands, use the testers and put things in the right place etc. Then the designer clad guildfordians, looking at higher priced items, use the items for sale(oh my can not use a tester someone else may have!) then just literally hurl it back at the stand! I wonder if it because they do not have to take care of what they own as it does not have to last, let alone be a treat?! Like I said, I hate to generalise, but it nearly always seems to be the way in my local!
Orlaith, Boots used to use the clear stickers with Boots logo on(atleast in my store) to seal all foundations etc, do they no longer do this? They were easy to remove once home, but I brought some foundation recently and it had sellotape on and had to resort after 5 mins of picking, to using 'sticky stuff remover', glad the item was not a gift of something!
By the way, sticky stuff remover from lakeland is a must! Was worth every penny getting rid of nasty labels after 75% and 90% sale!0 -

Even though I've never shopped in your store, and probably never will (it's a long hop from Cambridge to Belfast, even for Bootsing) THANK YOU! :T I have to confess that one of my pet hates is people testing products that are for sale when there is a perfectly good tester in front of them! If an item isn't sealed when I buy it I always check to see if it's been tested (if possible to do so) and must confess to trying to grab one from the back of the shelf if that makes sense (That said, I didn't stop to check the 17 lip glaze I grabbed from the back of the shelf last week until I got home, and sure enough, someone had stuck their blinking finger in it  )At the end of the day it was free with the voucher, I wiped across the glaze with a tissue, and far worse things happen in life, but some people! Meep!
Oh and...
