Hi. First time posting on the Boots thread, I usually lurk and have picked up some fab tips - thanks to all contributors!

I went to Boots today and picked up 3 No7 items; when I paid, the 275 No7 points voucher wouldn't go through the till. (got it with the last No7 GWP - pink box) The SA claimed it was because I already had the No7 items on sp.offer (3for2) and the voucher states 'not valid with any other sp.offer - she wouldn't put it through manually and I didn't insist as I wasn't certain of my rights.

Question is, as it goes out of date in a couple of weeks, should I insist at my next purchase if the same happens? I know it's only 275 points, but.... :-)

my ds decided to shout out "mum why don't you have a look through the last drawer they maybe hid them in that one, maybe its a game" :o

Thats so funny! Sounds just like my DS. My son only likes going to the Boots that have the little kids trolleys with flags on. He'll happily walk round for ages with one of those. Shame they only have them in one round here. Think they should have them in every Boots. It would make it much easier for us Mums to have good shop!!!!!

If I remember correctly a few of us had problems with this one. It is against skincare only and seemed to have a narrow view of what skincare was so maybe if you didn't have moisturiser, cleanser etc it wouldn't go through. It's a load of nonesense when they say its because stuffs reduced or on 3 for 2 because loads of us got it through with these before so the voucher doesn't know that. What I must say though is the new no 17 gwp seems to only recognise the new range product codes so they are beginning to use the new systems they got when allaince bought them out. The other thing to watch is most of the vouchers that come in products hae a English side and a Irish side where the points are bigger to reflect the euro you'll get a beep if they try to scan the wrong side so I always ask them to scan the voucher again on the english side if it bleeps.hth

Hi, and welcome. Glad you decided to join in:D

RE: points voucher from pink No7 GWP. It sounds like the SA was scanning the wrong side. One side is for Ireland (euros) and the other side is for GB(pounds). You didn't say what you bought on 3 4 2, but if you purchased a skincare item, then you should've got your points. HTH
  • Super Keen Money Saver went to liverpool street station and managed to get the following:

    4 x impulse sprays ("o2" fragrance) for £1.60
They are marked as 80p each but scan as BOGOF!

Other reductions in liverpool street include:

    tanning items (nivea range)
always envive (£1.50 for various types)
    tampons
1 no7 nail varnish (but the lid was had a piece missing from it)

In brent cross today there were a few tanning bits and bobs on the clearance shelf (located at the back of the store by the perfumes). There were also the following bits reduced around the store:

    sanctuary nail buffers 38p
    Ted baker make-up bags
    boots wooden brush 44p

Also had med soaps in stock (4) - till beeped with both the amazon gift set & the med £15 gift set.

    HTH :D

Managed to get the only tweezers (bourjois) on the stand too :D Thanks to the OP about the tweezers + till spit!

Anyone been to Birmingham New Street over the last few days? Anything worth looking out for, any clearance shelves?

Small store just inside New Street Station - a few bits on clearance but nothing of any note. Same with large store across the way from the station entrance - couldn't find any clearance in there at all but they had a few bits of reduced nail care items (a few = 3 or 4  ) by the at the other side of the shop, where you exit into the Bull Ring.

I didn't go into the large store at the top of the shopping centre so can't help with that one.

The 342 is only on Facial Skincare hence why the hand cream wont work. Although the more expensive one is 342 on .com

I picked up 2 of the Ltd N7 Eye shadows from Princess Street Edinburgh today priced at £2.75 took them to the N7 counter where the sa said she was going to be reducing them further to £1 so gave me them at £1 each.

Can anyone who has got one of the MF brush sets please tell me if the brushes are in a black wrap with a double silk ribbon round it? Also how many brushes you got in th gift.

I don't know anything about the black wrap - never seen these:confused: I have the one from last year that scans for 0.00 (some peeps have reported seeing these again recently) It's a travel brush set in a black box which contains four brushes - really nice too:)

By the way, I tried to get the bourjois nail polish remover today (in Luton) with 2.00 voucher, but till beeped:mad: I really need some nail polish remover too! couldn't find any pencil sharpeners or tweezers and no stay dry either. I didn't realise we had so many bootsers in Luton.

No, you can't. You can only use cash if using a till spit. HTH
