Interest Rates Gone Down but no letter?

I have just received mine recently from the Skipton - who like to tell me that I am better off with them than a publically listed company...When the interest rates go up, I hear about it within a very short time, and the whole amount, usually 0.25% is added on. When they go down, it takes a while longer for them to inform me (01/09/2005 this time), and it reduces by 0.20%. Thus every variation (increase then drop by the same amount) means that my rate is getting further up up and away from the BoE...0
