Credit Solutions - DCA?

I have had a lot of phone calls recently - almost everyday - from a number I don't know. I generally don't answer to unknown numbers as I've had lots of hassle in the past and I think if they're genuine then they'll leave a message. Anyhoo, I digress... Every time this number rings I get the same identical message. It sounds like a robot asking me to call and give a reference number. Says its a company called credit solutions. I've never heard of it before and I wondered if its genuine as I've not been told what its regarding and as I've been contacted in the past by Mackenzie Hall and such like, I'm on my guard. I'm a bit wary of calling them until i know who they are.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, then they are a fee charging debt management and IVA provider.

I'm not going to post a link, but if you Google the name you will find them.

If that is the one, then they are trying to flog you an expensive DMP or an IVA. Don't touch will a very long barge pole.

EDIT: There also may be a few DCA's with a similar name. If anyone has anything important to tell you then they can write.

The way I see it, if they have my mobile number they may well have my address. If thats the case then if they are genuine they can write to me with what they want. The number is an 0208. I'm certainly not going to offer up my personal details to a random company that calls and asks for them. If the calls continue can I get the number blocked from my phone? Or does that depend on my provider?

I know that BT "choose to refuse" costs £3.35 per month, but I've no idea what similar services other providers offer.

On further investigation, it sounds like it might be a DCA. :(

But again, it's never a good idea to talk to these on the phone.

Most Definitely a Debt Collection Agency.

Simply ignore the phone calls - if they have a 'genuine' need to tell you something they will, eventually, write to you.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Yep. Looks that way. And completely agree with that advice.
