I posted this yesterday but was attached to another thread so hope you dont mind but im going to ask again!
My patner and I are first time buyers hoping to get our feet on the first rung. He earns around £17,000 and i'm a supply teacher (currently on a contract till xmas) i earn around £19,000 (can prove as i keep all pay slips) year i also work with social services as a respite worker during school holidays. I have been renting for 4 years (with patner for 7 mnths) and have never missed a payment. We were going to wait until i got a permanent job but the way things are going both with teaching jobs and the property market we really are fed up off waiting! Before we start asking around do you think we would have a chance of getting a mortgage or would i really be better waiting till year 20XX!?!?
Any advice or opinions (good and bad) greatly appreciated!!!
