1000 clubcard points with Tesco DVD Rental

Evening all,

this is probably in the wrong place in the wrong forum, but its my first post, so here goes:

Had a flyer from Tesco DVD, to start a trial rental between now and 31st May and keep the account active for three months you'll get 1000 points. Considering the cheapest deal is £5/month, £15 for 1000 points don't seem to bad.

Hope its of use to some folks, should be fine as long as you are not existing customer for Tesco/Lovefilm rental.

Heres a little tip if some of you are just doing it for the points like me. Go through quidco (mines validated already) and pay for the 3 months in advance as you get 15% off the total cost.

£11.40 for three months (inc 15% discount)
- £4.00 quidco
Total £7.40 for three months.

And as you get 1000 points which is worth £10 instore or £40 in deals its a no brainer.

But the T&C say "9. In order to qualify for your 1000 Tesco Clubcard points, you must validly register for the free trial with the correct promotion code TDRAPR8 and make your third DVD Rental monthly payment. This excludes any discounted packages, e.g. gift voucher purchases and prepay."

So I would assume you will not get the 1000 points if you prepay.
