I moved to a new home last June and ported my mortgage of 64740 with me as it had a year left to run. I took out the remainder needed to buy the house 68776 on a separate account although they are both with the A&L. Mortgage 1 is up on 30/6/08
Mortgage 2 is up on 30/04/12
What am I best to do now? Try and get the best deal with A&L for part 1 or if I get a better deal can I go somewhere else and what are the implications of having approx half a mortgage with two lenders or would they even let you do this?
Mortgage 2 is up on 30/04/12

I would look to see if A&L can offer you are 3 yr fixed or tracker. You need to get the 2 tie ins as close together as possible.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I need a 4 yr deal but they dont seem to be available, am I better to do 2 2yr deals and merge them together? Is this a worse way to do it regarding mortgage exit fees etc?
