Commercial First pull the plug on all lending!

One of the big names in UK commerical lending has withdrawn all lending facilities.

Are the happy clappy people still thinking all this crash talk is just doom mongering?:rotfl:

    Conrad could you point me in the direction of any news in the press on this as I have a mortgage with them, would like to see how they are holding up with regards to the possibilty that they may increase my margin, particularly as I was thinking of maybe jumping ship anyway to a cheaper deal.

    Yeah it happened a while back. A good client of mine works for them. They had to pull the plyg as a buyout of funding deal fell through. They are working on new funding but as we all know, nobody has any cash, and those who do want to keep it.

    This reminds me of the days I used to work at a buyilding society. They or the chairman was always harping on about saving for this day. They did ok through the last pop because they kept large numbers in reserves! If only the greedy cowboys who are slowly going under had the same idea!
