If you're on a low income, get a HC2 certificate; ask your pharmacist/GP/local jobcentre/look online for an application form; you send them about 3 most recent payslips as proof of low income and they look into it and decide what level of help, if any, they'll give you. I am entitled to free eye tests and a voucher, as well as other things.

just back from getting my free eye test with tesco. Didn't buy any glasses. I was given the prescription before they asked me was I considering buying a pr today. I said I might Have a quick look but It wouldn't be today. Very quick and efficient service. Had my last one done in Boots who kept me for ages. And I got 100 points!!
