name misspelled on loan that was not approved?

Got papers from bank saying loan was not approved due to not having a high enough score. On the letter the only thing spelled right was my first name can you be denied because they have entered your name wrong?

    Was this the RBS loan application which you mention in another posting?
    If so as it was done online then you must have typed in the details??

    No this is another loan .. which was declined ... we just got the paperwork in the mail and our name was incorrect.
