I don't know if this is the right place for this but here goes. I was wondering how many comps do you have to enter to be successful. Looking at some of your messages i'm amazed at the amount of stuff you lot have won. :T
I thought i would give comping a serious go and since 21/03/80 up to today i have entered 111 competitions. I don't think i've entered that many in the past ten years. And so far i have won nothing not a jot. Most of the comps have know closed although some will be closed by the end of May.
Am i on the right track? Do i need to enter more competitions? Or is it just down to pure luck? :rolleyes:0 -
I try and do at least a few hundred a week:D and have won quite a bitto be updated:;)0

I aim for 100 a day although at the moment am trying to double that as I am going to miss quite a few days when I'm in Florida!2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0

My advice is go for as many as you can, the more you do the more chance you have of winning , Ive only been doing comps since just before December but the saying patience is a virtue well to me anyway comes into this big time
Remember though
"youve got to be in it to win it"
"dont give up, no matter what"
Wins,Hammerfest weekender tickets,Chris Rea Tickets,more Chris Rea Tickets,0 -
my motto is "the only comp u have no chance of winning, is the one you dont enter!' whenever i have a dry spell i remember this:D
no idea how many i enter but its a lot, only enter the ones you want to win
i do the comps on here, magazine entries, postal, enter most of the comps out the kids comics, i started last december and have seen some great wins
just remember its a fun hobby and if you win then thats a bonus:D

Hi,
Yes, i do highlight the text, but when i click on the box, nothing happens. Just a tiny small box appears with nothing in it.
My colours have gone  lol.
It used to work.
I need to make my competition ending post really colourfull, lol.0 -
You could create the post in Word (or any word processor) make it as nice as you like and then copy and paste it:jComping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00

To stat a new discussion:
Am i the only one but entering these comps and the fun and banter that there used to be on the comping thread is not as good as it used to be?
I was disheatened to read on one of the "comps ending" threads a while ago "Thanks for this, now i can get on with my day" or something like this, are alot of people now just popping on here and doing the comps ending and then don't come back on till the next dat to do the same again?
I think the comps ending thread is great, and i use it myself, but it has sort of stopped me using the whole forum and having to keep up,yes it was hard to keep up with it all but within this you (or me) had to be more picky in which comp to enter, but with the comps ending thread i am thinking that people just enter anything even if they want it or not.
At least with NO Comps ending thread the amount of people entering a comp would be less and so increasing the chances of the people that actually wanted the prize.
Thanks for reading this and would be interested in the response.
I don't mean to upset anybody, this is just my opinion and wondered if anybody felt the same.
