Makro/Costco membership How???

Is there any way you can get membership or access to one of these places if you don't run your own business?

We'd love to get access to one of these places particularly with an impending new house to buy stuff for and christmas coming up but I recall you need to have your own Ltd Company or something to get access.

Does anyone know any loopholes or do I have to persuade my Dad (small business owner) to do OH and me a favour and get us in?

You dont have to own a company - if u are one of the listet professions you can also join. Costco at least...

It costs 20 - 30 pounds inc. VAT to join per year I believe.

I have a makro card, my boss got one for me, there are loads of my workmates got one too. I think you can just ask anyone who has a business to get you a card under their business.

Makro membership cards are free of charge.

  • If you have a professional membership they normally let you in at Costco.

True , my husband joined Costco as he works in the NHS and my daughter used to be a member as she worked for a bank
Same old same old since 2008

  • At Costco you can also get your other half a card on your membership, at no extra cost. Each card also enables you to bring one other person into the warehouse with you.

What ID do u need for makro membership?
In this trusted place U can erase
Every tear that ever rolled down your weary face
All the time U waste in that paper chase
Is time better spent in these arms of mine

When I got my makro card several years ago, I needed to show a business cheque book in my name, a business credit card in my name and also 2 recent invoices to my business for amounts over £50. Makro are stricktly 'trade' only and you must run a business to get one or have someone who runs a business get you a card on their account, though you have to be described as 'staff' to qualify.

I love my Makro card even though I don't have a business anymore, once you have a card, they don't take it off you if you stop running a business.
