Just done this, went via Quidco, changed the code to Martin's, placed my bets & am keeping my fingers crossed I backed a winner!!
Backed 9 horses so if one of them comes in I stand to win between £22 & £188 - less Betfair's commision!!
Took about 10 minutes but my Quidco £50 has tracked!! Woohoo!! Free Money!!
    Thanks Martin!!
  • Anyone who wants to sign up but hasn't done so yet - READ POST 1 AND THE T&C OF BETFAIR. It's pretty obvious that a lot of people are not doing these things and are ending up confused.
    :j
  • Has anybody who signed up with this and used Paypal had it track through Quidco?

Once you click on one of the Grand National buttons it opens "the market" giving you all the horses. Pick the standard 'backing' bets, highlighted in blue, rather than the pink 'lay' bets. Easiest way is to untick the boxes that say "Back & Lay" & "Market Depth" & this will only display the blue boxes, just so that you don't do it wrong!
Then you just click the blue box to the right of the horse or horses you want to bet on. Your bet then appears to the right with the odds and you have to enter your stake. (Scroll your screen to the right a bit if you can't see it)Minimum bet is £2.00 & you can only back horses to win, there is no "place" or "each way" on the Grand National (or not through Betfair anyway!)
Make sure your total bets come to at least £25,, but you don't have to put this all on one horse.
I've spread mine over 9 from the favourites to a couple of outside chances!! Mainly cause I liked the names! :rotfl:

Sorry if this has already been asked - i have deposited £25 in the betfair account via cc but 50p has been taken off this as handling fee for the cc transaction, leaving less than £25 in the betfair account to bet. Does this mean I lose out on the £25 back from betfair unless I top it up?

I think you'll need to top up, use a debit card to avoid fees!!
