which is standard practice in the betting world whether we like it or not.

You may be able to place your bets but not withdraw winnings until your ID has been verified.

Woo hoo.. just logged in and the £25 was in account - now withdrawn.
£50 tracked in quidco... and 5 x £5 bets placed... nicely done

Thought I would not bother about betting but silly me, I deposited 25 pounds into betfair before know they need to check my age.

I only use AmEx card, no visa and master card, so sent photo email instead.

I had to do the same as you, I was allowed to bet straight away, I think we may have to wait to withdraw, but fine to place a bet.

You CAN place a bet. You just can't withdraw any winnings until you prove your age.
