    Hi Cashew ,

How about rather than spending £100 in the pub two nights a week what about seeing if you can get a part time job.
See if the pub needs any help then you can still see your mates at the same time.

The gym , can this be got rid of till you can afford it? or are you tied into it perhaps go to the gym with one of your friends instead of the pub.

Also your ccards and loan , you have them all listed at 0% APR is this for the whole period. If not you need to check when the higher %'s kick in.

Obviously it would be a good idea to do a daily spend diary to see what extras you've missed, coffees out , magazines, newspapers etc.

Don't take all your money out of your account each month , give yourself a budget for the month ,and then take out a weeks money leave the cards at home and then you can't be tempted.

Other travel , please tell me thats not taxi fare after your nights out.

Also look at the daily clicks ,pigsback, slice the pie ,ebay ,etc , to increase your income.

As you said your student loan isnt included so you need to work out when that needs dealing with as otherwise you wont be dealing with all your debts and everytime your tempted your be adding to that hidden debt as well.

    I hope thats some help.

  • I think the £150 for groceries etc is high for one and can be halved. Try mealplanning so you can use the leftovers for future meals of use it all and freeze for later meals in the month.

Clothing should also be able to be cut. One item a month shouldnt come to £100 so if you allow yourself something new each month without feeling guilty then that might help.

That of course leaves the other obvious area that others have covered.

Have you thought of a spending diary to see where the cash goes? I use this online one http://www.spendingdiary.com/

    Good luck

Just taken my mum for her fortnightly shop and her bill (for one) came to £46, with pet food and phone credit, so there is scope for improvement on the grocery bill.
