    no, if she takes the pension then it will be indexed linked just the same as if she left in in the pension fund.

    if she doesn't take it therefore she is simply throwing away the 800 a month so if she defers it for say five years she is simply throwing away 800 x 12 x 5 =48,000 less tax i.e. 28,800!
  • I would check that an extra increase may be payable if you defer past Normal Retirement Age - I would check with the administrators to be sure that you have all the information.
    I have worked for 5 years as a Pension Administrator and then a further year in a non-administrator pension role. I am not (and never have been) an adviser. Do not take anything I say as advice, it is information given on the best of my knowledge.
