My situation please help

Hi, i though it would be best of me to explain my situation with people who have experience, i am also contacting the debt charities tomorrow.

So.... Me and Dane moved in together about 2 years ago, in which i had about £1500 worth of debt, i then realised i could apply for what i wanted since i lived on my own and stupid me i did, so i ended up living beyond my means, fast forward 2 years and i had got about 6 phone contracts...why i dont know catalogue debts, store card debts and loads of cash till payday loans, during some time last year is when my problem started i got depressed with work and also my debts to the point i couldnt leave the house so i was on sick for about 4 months, me and dane entered into a debt management plan in which he paid for.....thought all was well was paying it each month creditors stopped hassling me even though i had not added every creditor we had, then about 2 months ago we started getting solicitor letters etc for debts the debt management company had deleted! without telling me!!! GGRRRRR thus ending up depressed again......
I had however been in and out of work since Oct and was in a job for 4 weeks temp, then in Nov went in to a p/t job to get me back into the swing of things to get my confidence back, i started my f/t job in January and i am enjoying it, i made the mistake of taking out these stupid cash loan pay day things and ended up with about 3/4 i owe for, anyways....
ive been looking at my options me and dane are no longer together thus changing the joint acc and getting my own acc, Dane owns the house we live in and i wasnt paying rent before, but i am continuing to live here but we are going to write a rent agreement up and make it all above board and im going to pay rent from next month onwards, i have been on CCCs website and done a inc and exp form on the basis of £790 inc, £400 rent inc council tax, utilities, sky etc etc and ended up with no surplus inc, would bc be best i thought if ive but i only have 9k debts and no money for a dmp, i am going to phone them tomorrow as i have been working late tonight and see what they think.
Im worried the OR would look down on me for living beyond my means and getting these payday and phone contracts out like an iddiot, i feel like they would come down on me like a ton of bricks and say you cant go bc im so worried now and i hate the place im in now so any advise would be great.....sorry to rammble on. thanks

Well done on taking steps to get your life back under your control.

You are doing the right thing by calling CCCS and discussing your options. Granted you have been a bit silly with the phone contracts but who hasn't been silly at one point or another. Lots of people live on payday loans so don't worry. The worst that the OR will give you is a BRO, which in essence extends some of the limitations of bankruptcy for a given time, but is no bad thing; You will still be discharged after a year.

Ley us know how the call goes.

Glad to hear the CCCS call went ok..I used them myself in Jan & they were brilliant, Best thing to do is contact the court for an appt 1st some courts are pretty busy & you might not be seen for a couple of weeks...if your lucky might be sooner

dont feel stupid your not! if anything you deserve a pat on the back for getting so far.... we've all been there & ended up where you are now for whatever reasons..if you need any help filling in the forms ask away!
