Yoghurt Maker. Easy-Yo - Where can I find the cheapest packets of mix ?

 Have been really impressed with the Easy Yo yoghurt maker. Its really quick and simple to use and the best thing is that it actually tastes nice ! The only thing is that the mixes that it uses are a little expensive at £1.50 pack ( which makes 1 ltr ). Does anyone know where I can buy it cheaper - even if it is bulk ?

If you have a Julian Graves shop near you try there. They keep advertising almost everything half price in the store and this includes the Easy-Yo mixes. You have to be quick as my store sells out within the day - mine has a delivery every Thursday.

  • Hi,

I don't know where to get the packet mix - but you might find this thread interesting (although quite long!)

Basically 1 litre of UHT milk, 2 tbsp of natural live yoghurt (starter) and a couple of tbsp of milk powder if you like it "thicker". Give it as shake pop it in the white tub with the hot water and 8hrs later - job done! If you go through lots then you can use the yoghurt you made as your next starter.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi, I halve the yogurt mix & add a equal amount os skim or full cream milk powder. Put in the maker, shake severly to mix & add water as usual. The best flavour to do this with is Nectarine. Get the milk powder in bulk from a store that specialises in bulk products.
Incidentally, when making jelly/jello to have with my yogurt & icecream, I add
1 heaped teaspoon of geletine, mix well & add twice the normal amount of water. This halves the amount of sugar, colouring & flavouring per serve.
Go to www.easyo.com for where to purchase the product.
