Following on from my recent thread re the death of my estranged husband. I have been awarded £22000 pa for life from now from his company.
I know I will pay tax on this but will I also have to pay NI. As it stands I now intend to give up work and have this as my main income

You won't have to pay NI on this.
You may want to continue paying voluntary NI contributions so that you are entitled to a state pension.0
