Yet another First Direct query

Sorry if this has been asked before.

We are looking at the First Direct 2 year fixed rate deal at the moment. Can anyone tells me (woman on the phone can't!) whether this mortgage is portable. We are perhaps looking to move in a year/18 months. At that time we would look to borrow more, but almost certainly still within FD's lending criteria.

The website isn't clear, and would be good to discount it rather than keep waiting for the call back.

20. Portability of fixed and discounted rate facilities
If you move house you can transfer this mortgage to another property subject to:

1. any replacement loan facility being taken up simultaneously with the repayment of your existing loan facility and;
2. our satisfaction as to your financial status at the relevant time and;
3. our normal assessment criteria.
