UK mortgage in NZ

With a UK morgage - if I move to New Zealand should I continue with the UK mortgage as NZ have the highest rates in the industrialised world? Or should I get a new mortgage in NZ?

I'm confused with your question?

But as a general rule, if you're taking your house to NZ with you - don't tell your UK mortgage lender before you do it . :D - You then won't need either.

If you're leaving the house, sell it, pay off the the UK mortgage and buy somewhere in NZ with one of their mortgages. No expert but I wouldn't have thought a UK lender will offer a mortgage on NZ property.
If you're leaving the house, renting it out whilst in NZ, contact your lender & change to a BTL mortgage or they may let you keep mortgage if only temp and also tell your insurers.
