I have to admit to being as guilty as alot of others on here, i've also had one of these for about 10 years now still in the box and never been used, it seemed like a good idea at the time. in fact i've no idea where it is now maybe i donated to something, but i'll try and hunt it down now and if i find it try out some of these receipes ;DNobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

I'm just off to dust mine off and get it into use again! I inherited it so it's not been used since my Mum had it. But will attempt the raspberry sponge for tonights pud as it looks fairly uncomplicated, thanks. Should be ready when I get back from work tonight. It doesn't have a separate pot so if I become addicted I had better get onto the amazon site!!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Well I had a go at the jam sponge, followed all the instructions and pre heated cooker then put in pud surrounded by boiling water. Wasn't sure of the temp setting so put it on high for 1 hour then turned it to low while I went to work (it was bubbling so much that I was a bit unsure about leaving it unattended on high and this is a very old slow cooker)) Needless to say when I got in pudding was still uncooked. I zapped it onto high for the rest of the evening but still not edible! Refusing to give in I turned it down to low again and went to bed! Well this morning I have just eaten the most melt in your mouth delicious jam sponge pudding for breakfast!!
Well waste not want not!
So still trying to work out what to do next time, leave it on high or cook on low all night and into the next day!! lol help! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Can't help I'm afraid re the jam sponge, cos I never tried them in slow cooker - would be interested to know what timing should be. Although sponge puds only take about 5 mins in microwave, they aren't as nice as proper steamed ones.
My first slow cooker had the sort of bowl that didn't lift out for cleaning, so I didn't use it all that much. Then my MIL gave me her one with a removeable crock pot ... MUCH easier to use! Well, they're all as easy to use .. it's the washing up afterwards that makes all the difference. (Big difference in my opinion!)0
