I'm sure most unis do them cheap if anyone in interested in them that's a student.. helpful if you're gonna be walking between student residences at the middle of the night.. I got one for my wife from our local branch of Lloyds chemist, £1.99 when purchased with an item from the pharmacy.

I can send you one for free if you like. Brought a couple home from work and one of them has your name on it if you wish.

Just pay me back the postage.

But it gives you the element of surprise which granted doesn't guarantee your safety, but gives you a slightly better chance.

Unfortunately pepper spray and CS gas are unlawful weapons

They are both in fact S.5 firearms!! Under current legislation.

    Hi there rubberducky

Have just returned from Tesco , where they have similar personal panic alarms .
They are silver and heart shaped ? with a wrist strap that you pull out to activate , they only cost £2 £4 each so definately worth a try - although not too sure how loud they are.

Ps the one from "Nile" sounds really quite good .
It is really heartening when you read people giving out such great advice and offering stuff for free- what a great site

    Got the price wrong...........sorry
