I think Mr P has a dust allergy... help!

My OH's dust allergy improved when we got rid of the downstairs carpet and replaced with laminate. We also got mattress protectors, pillow protectors and duvet covers that could be washed at 60 deg C (to kill dust mites).
Most people are allergic to dust mite faeces rather than dust itself. Unfortunately dust mites love nice centrally heated homes. You can try to make conditions harder for them by airing rooms daily, not making the bed (so it can cool down quicker) and reducing the humidity.0 -
Just to reiterate what cheering_bell said, bedding needs to be washed at 60 deg every time, otherwise the dust mites can survive in the wash. I have a hypo-allergenic pillow too - that's made a difference to my bedtime sniffles.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - please
