  • i went with the pore perfection giftpack in the little plastic boxes . (not to be confused with the other botanics giftboxes which arent 2 for £6).According to the boots website they usually retail for £7 each or so- to to pay 1 pound plus voucher for two is good. just for ref- the pore perfection giftboxes are in the botanics skincare section not the botanics body section or whateever its called where the other giftboxes are.

I checked for reduced Karen Millen and Urban Decay and was informed by the assistant that they did have some reduced stock but unfortunately for me nothing left.....so I bought bogof on toothpaste mouthwash and deodorant and it came to £5.97 got a £5.00 skincare voucher and noticed botanics bath kits reduced to £1.48 and picked up 4 however the assistant would not put them through with the voucher stating that as it was reduced stock I could not use the voucher. I took the bath kits anyway, but on checking the terms and conditions at the back of the voucher it doesn't mention that you can't use with reduced stock ,so I have e-mailed boots headquarters and await a reply.. will let you know. The boots in question was at the Plaza East Kilbride Glasgow. I went on to use my voucher with boots no 7 342 tinted moisturiser @ £8.00 ea came to £16 less £5 voucher and total £11 oh and I got 200 points which is at the back of the advantage card magazine...not a bad days shop.....By the way you can only use 1 £5 voucher per transaction.....

So far its been suggested facial wipes are a good use of your £5 skincare voucher and also Botanics pore perfection, 2 for £6. Any others?

    Mary

In Manchester Market Street today, the Botanics Radiance Beauty Balm was reduced from £9 to £4.50 - and went through the till on the £5 Voucher at £0!

So... I spent £20 on chrissie pressies on the clearance shelf in four £5 batches (thanks to a previous poster for this tip) saving a small fortune, and came away with four free tubes of moisturiser that are going to give me 'instant radiance for a glowing complexion' !!

    RESULT!!!!

  • They don't sell these brands in either of the Boots branches in Inverness sad - just my luck!

Had a look in there today just in case, but no such luck.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

That totally stinks and the person who served you was totally in the wrong, since as you say, there's nothing in the terms and conditions to say that you can't use the voucher for discounted items.

I had a similar problem recently with the £10 electrical vouchers, I bought a reduced face care thingy by Babyliss, and the girl at the till tried to say that I couldn't use the voucher against it. I pointed out that there was nothing saying I couldn't in the T&Cs, but she wasn't having any of it ... However I've learnt a lot from MSE (teehee) and stood my ground, and asked to see the manager. After a 5 minute wait, she eventually came out from the back ... and ... totally agreed with me!

If it were me, I would go back and ask to see the manager, explain what happened, and get him/her to refund you for the kits and then put them through on a new transaction, paying for the kits with the voucher this time ... It can be a bit embarrassing if you're anything like me - wary of confrontation! But knowing that you are in the right does wonders for your confidence

Edit: Just realised you said you've already used the voucher on something else ... But hopefully when Boots HQ reply to you they will compensate you with a few extra points for your inconvenience ... :rotfl:

Nothing at the westwood cross store in Thanet, but I think the store is too new to have old stock, if that makes sense, the reduced rack was aloso pretty dismal ;) Thank you anyway though, it got us upto the shops (hubby loves to save) and we ended up in the tesco toy sale instead,, :) Christmas is nearly done already!! ;)

    Thank you!!
