Some time ago in my mid 20's when working for a local company for a short period a financial advisor addressed all the staff,in relation to, i recalled opting out of serps? I believe there was asum of £5000 put into my personal "pot" for doing this, the comapany were called raibow something
It was not until recentlly now such things are more relevant and whilst on a financial awareness course run by my present employer that i recalled it. I have a good pension scheme with my present employer and on advice checked with DWP and found i have made 30 years of NI contributions,(my woking life so far) thus entitling me to a full state pension.
I guess my question is how do i find out if i still have such a "pot" and wht do i do with it?

You could try the Pension Tracing Service.
Once you've traced it that will let you know what type of pension it is and then it'll be possible to tell you more about what you can do with it.0
