the great havaianas hunt!

i know there's a lot of savvy people on here so i thought i'd pick your brains and maybe start a thread where people can add links and experiences.

as the weather looks like it's hotting up (fingers crossed!!) i'm now on the hunt for a pair of havaianas. i particularly love the gold designs with the printed soles they're doing. they seem to retail around the £20 mark, so i was wondering if anyone has picked up a pair for less and/or got a good postage deal?

favelaflipflops.com was my first port of call as i bought several pairs from them last year for a good price, however the website says they're not trading anymore

OMG I had no idea Havaianas were so expensive! My cousin had a mid-life crisis, gave up her job & moved to Brazil to go travelling last year and she bought my daughter 4 pairs of Havaianas for Christmas! Why are they so good? i hate flip flops!

they're def more expensive since they've been seen on celebs. none of my brazilian friends are visiting home anytime soon otherwise i would've asked them to pick me some up as they cost a fraction of the price over there! they use a special blend of rubber which is really light and bouncy so they're really comfortable but hardwearing (the soles don't crack or wear down like foam flip flops often do). i'd reccommend anyone to have a go on them. i managed to convert my mum to havaianas and she hates flip flops

The y are simply the best flip flops in the world. I spent a year in Africa and wore them every day. A quick run under the tap and they still look brand new. They last forever!!!
