we have an endowment with scottish provident, taken out in 1987 or 88 , we pay £101.40 per month and have done so for the last 21 years and we finish paying for it in 2008 i hear of people who have recieved more of a payout at the end than we are going to recieve is it a case of picking the wrong company, we have got a shortfall of around 10,000 pounds and are thinking of selling it as it seems we are paying money for what each month, any suggestions

Endowment maturities have dropped since the stockmarket crash. A few have been rising again recently but only the stronger with profit funds or those with unit linked.
Maturity values depend on timing, term, amounts, charges and the quality of the fund.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
