Hello
I work for a company in the private sector and am taxed at the source.
Sometime back some one told me that while i am being taxed at source i should be filling in my tax retruns and ensure that i am pying the correct taxes, is this correct?

If you have just one source of income and pay tax through source (know as PAYE, Pay As You Earn, for wages/salary) then you shouldn't need to fill in a tax return.
If you have more than one source of income (maybe you rent a property, have a second job, do freelancing, have shares, pension income, etc etc) then you might need to fill out a tax return.
You can always give the tax office a call. I found them surprisingly helpful when I had the same question myself (and contrary to what someone at work had told me, they don't automatically send out a tax return if you contact them!!)0 -
If you have been sent one to fill out then fill it out. Ignore at your peril.Middlers0
