Home-based translation work?

I can really do with some advice here. Can anyone recommend a *reliable* translation agency to join? I am bilingual and I basically need home-based (or North-West based) freelance work since my wages can hardly cover 2 weeks
Anyone with experience in this regard? Advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Just want to quickly thank you all for your responses. I find it extremely hard to find an agency that offers other-than-scarce jobs. I just wonder if there are other interpreters/translators with a similar problem and maybe willing to contribute to a list of agencies that they find most efficient. It would also be helpful to hear from those who may be interested in such services and can offer guidance.0

Ampersand, Sorry I just noticed your question: I am particulary interested in agencies who seek Spanish or Arabic languages.0
