don't know where no 2 son gets his jeans, they are so full of holes that if I were an assistant in a charity shop I would say thanks but no thanks if he tried to donate them!....tells me they are meant to look like that, full of rips and 2 sizes too big!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I've not posted on this thread for ages but I have been reading it. The thing about your DS's jeans made me laugh. My DS1 & DS2 both wear jeans like that and also halfway down their behinds - I always tell them that I don't want to see their boxers  I just get the 'oh Mum you've no idea about fashion' look from them.

My son is just the same. Mind you, he's so skinny that even with a belt, his trousers fall down!

I'll be so glad when this fashion phase passes. I get a terrible urge to pull up boys trousers when I'm out and I don't know how much longer I'll be able to stop myself! :rotfl:

:rotfl:I got my own back on #2 son with baggy jeans - gave him two milkshakes to take to the car from Burger King - half way across the car park the inevitable happened :T
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Great post confuzzled, sounds like you have yourself a very sweet, and smart, little cookie
I have always loved charity shops and am trying to stop buying 'disposable' items from places like primark, not a fan of the ethical implications. Though I have to admit after years of my mum taking me to clarks, m and s etc and me rebelling I am back in there for quality things that last, better to have some good quality lasting things!

As opposed to me who is always tempted tp tug them down in the hope it embarasses them into wearing them properly

  • Well said confuzzled! My DDs are the same and even though they are now teenagers they still like the charity shops and hunt for a bargain. DD1 even asks for a bit to be knocked off if there are any thread hanging out or buttons of clothes in the department stores!

My DS and my BF's eldest DS are the same! Although my son doesnt wear them on his bum, but they are two or three sizes too big and baggy. As he is so skinny it looks like hes a waif and stray!! BF's son is very fashion conscious, and takes meticulous care about his appearance, then the trousers are 4" below the CK boxers! Got to have the Elastic label out!:rotfl::rotfl:

we had a good day today at the charity shops today. my wee one keeps losing her sunglasses so she found a lovely sunhat instead for just 2 quid (it's white which i normally shy away from but at least it's just white, i can bleach it if need be)

we also grabbed a lovely glitter kitty tshirt and a pair of skinny jeans (and my girl needs it, we have big problems with the waists on everything) 2 quid for them in total so i'm well pleased.the jeans are actually quite nice with embroidery and some fancy buttons sewn on along the pocket edges, her friends will be jealous ;)

i also managed to pick up a really cool 'piratey' mug which will hold some of the fancy packets of organic coffee i've won recently in a twitter competition, this will be given to my ex husband (wee ones dad) for christmas, he loves all things piratey and all things coffee, i might buy a few plastic spoons and dip them in chocolate to go with it too, but so far my only cost is the 69p for the mug :D

oh i picked up some of that popping corn i mentioned from holland and barratt it IS bogof, but it's 1.19 not 99p still 1.19 for a kg of popping corn is not bad!

i also got my approved food order it was left with my neighbours so that was a nice surprise when i got home... it's been a lovely frugal day (and the weather wasn't too bad either!)
