I can sew really well and make my own re-usable sanitary towels. I've made a few for friends and family as well and someone suggested that I should make more and sell them online. Now I know that it doesn't cost much to make these, a padded envelope is sufficient to post but my big issue is that I don't know if the items are of "buying" quality? You know they do well enough for just me and friends who I didn't charge but how do you know if something is good enough to impress others?

Try looking at the last couple of posts in this thread.

There was mention of swapping pads or patterns in there.
Sending a few samples to others may give you a better idea of if they are up to scratch.
You may also get some testimonials which may help you sell them.0 -

A lot of crafters make these and sell them on etsy . com (without the spaces) theres a big push coming from the handmade market now a days its an american site but it only charges you 20 cents to list each item you get your own store front etc so it might be worth putting them on there and making it a little side business i do that with my handcast resin necklaces and seem to be doing ok
If you have any questions you can pm me :-)0 -

Thanks, it's more a quality thing, I mean i can ask friends for feedback but they don't tend to be critical do they? I will have a look at the site you gave me, 20cents listing is CHEAP when you convert it into pounds so I've not much to lose at all.0
