I wanna new Duvet!

Hi all,
Our duvet is on the way out, and I am looking for a replacement.
The one we have at the moment was....once.....a good polyester one but over time it has become quite flat and "clumpy" ( possibly cos i put a throw on top!)

I see all sorts of fillings and am wondering which is the best one to go for. Dont want to get the wrong one as they arent cheap!

Thanks!

I bought my feather/down duvet from their factory shop in Mirfield, West Yorkshire (dunno if it is still there) and it was only £25 for a King Size

    Thanks for that!

Our present duvet is an "all seasons" one..... one 9.5 and one 4 tog.....i think they call it hollowfibre.... You attach them together when its freezing cold which is a great idea.

I will have a look in TKMaxx and also i see that Debenhams have some price reductions too.

Feather sounds wonderful! How does it wear over time though? I suppose it has to be dry cleaned which I am not too keen on. However, if it means a bit of luxury I might go for it!

I don't know if you live near a TJ Hughes, they had some really good Dorma ones in there at the weekend. Dunelm have some good buys too.
  • I have had a feather duvet for years and years, they last just as long as hollowfibre, but they are more natural, you can usually find washable down in most shops, you do not always need to dry clean, it is an option ,not one ive ever taken. the only problem i can think of is fitting in to your washing machine,it would probably have to be done at a launderette, however youll have the same problem with any duvet if it is a really large one!!
