Hi
I went bankrupt last week and am still awaiting communication from the OR.
In the meantime, I have been trying to gather as many documents together as possible before my interview.
Having just found one of the personal loan agreements for one of my main creditors (a loan of £7000), I have discovered on the back of the loan agreement information relating to my earnings that I apparently provided at the time.
The monthly figure quoted is much higher (by about £2000!) than my actual current earnings, even though I did earn about £500 more a month than I do now, when the loan was taken out.
I really do not recall having given the figure quoted but am extremely worried that it will be viewed by the OR in terms of an attempt to mislead the Loan Company in order to secure the loan. The typescript reads that the loan was agreed on the basis of the information provided, including the salary details provided.
Any thoughts or advice on this would be much appreciated.
This is my first time on the site -I'm still trying to come to terms with my bankruptcy and struggling with it really.
Thank-you for your time

If the OR asks, be honest about it. £2k a MONTH more in earnings is more likely to be a typo I suppose. Or perhaps the loan company included your income and your partners at the time possibly?
I would not worry about it too much. As I said, if they ask, then be honest about it. The worst case scenario would be that a BRO/U may be applied to you at discharge.0 -
Agree with skylight. We have all(or some of us anyway:o )been prone to over exagerate our earnings at some point to get credit but 2K is more likely to be typing error or perhaps yours and partners gross income. In fact it could be any combination of things. Only worry if the OR asks. If he does not then don't offer the info. Play dumb. Realistically has the OR really got time to read everyones smallprint,um don't think so. They are so busy they probably have not got time to look at the actual aggrement let alone the conditions. Much the same as stated above...just be honest and tell OR its the first you ve seen it(one possibility is a misunderstanding in the original correspondence over the loan )
good luck0 -

When you're close to tears remember
Some day it'll all be over
One day we're gonna get so high
And though it's darker than December
What's ahead is a different colour
One day we're gonna get so high
And at
The end of the day
remember the days
When we were close to the edge
And we'll wonder how we made it through the night
The end of the day
remember the way
We stayed so close till the end
We'll remember it was me and you
'Cause we are gonna be forever you and me
You will always keep me flying high in the sky of love
Don't you think it's time you started
Doing what we always wanted
One day we're gonna get so high
'Cause even the impossible
is easy when we got each other
One day 'we're gonna get so high
And at
The end of the day
remember the days
when we were close to the edge
And we'll wonder how we made it through the night
The end of the day
remember the way
We stayed so close to till the end
We'll remember it was me and you.
'Cause we are gonna be forever you and me
You will always keep me flying high in the sky of love
'Cause we are gonna be forever you and me
You will always keep me flying high in the sky of love
High, high, high, high, high, high, high, high
And at
The end of the day
remember the days
when we were close to the edge
And we'll wonder how we made it through the night
The end of the day
remember the way
We stayed so close to till the end
We'll remember it was me and you.

Thank-you all for the advice-I took the loan out in October 2006.
I don't have a partner so the information would just based on my own salary details.
Thanks for the lyrics too-it definitely means a great deal to feel the support of others.0 -
My OR asked at the end of my interview if that(what was on my SOA) was roughly my income over the previous 2 years, so it's not as if you can yes, as it's less than 2 years. If it was me i would wait and see. If the question comes up play stupid. Keep in touch. Hi Faeriequeen,
I would wait & see...besides if you did`nt actually fill the form out yourself (ie in writing) then this could be an error on the application.
At least you can now sing a long to the Lighthouse Family !!!

Thanks again for advice and I shall definitely keep in touch.
As far as my salary is concerned, it has fluctuated a lot over the past 2 years as I've been paid on an hourly paid basis and the number of hours have varied.
Since October 2007, my salary has reduced quite significantly due to some very traumatic personal circumstances that led to a reduction in my working hours. Is it acceptable, do you think, to say if the subject is raised, that I can not recall having given the figures concerned to the Loan Company, which is true?
Hope you have a nice weekend0
