Hi
Does anyone just came back for ideal home show, could you pls advise, should I spend £5 to buy the show guide, and what area I must go to see, where to have your lunch?
Thanks for reading.

If you buy the guide you will get a free Ideal Home Show bag for life, which is useful to carry your various freebies and purchases.
The guide in itself is not really worth having as you can get a free map of the show when you go in (or in the Daily Mail bag that you are given as you enter). However, if you take the guide to the Goodie Bag stand (we had to go into the next hall to do this) you will be given a carrier bag full of freebies.
This thread will give you more information so you can decide whether the freebies + the bag are worth the £5.
Do make sure that you get the small voucher book that is given out at the entrance, regardless of whether you buy the show guide, as the coupons in that are pretty useful!
Somewhere during the day I gained a BOGOF voucher for Earls Court Wagamama - just thought I'd mention that in case you want to go out for lunch. There is a place where you can leave coats and bags, at the entrance to the show. There are many places inside the show to buy food and drink, but they aren't cheap! Some people had brought their own. We found a stand selling Mediterranean breads and pastries, so bought from that and supplemented those with free samples from the various stands (eg Vita Mix)0 -
Having been before and buying the guide, I would advise against it. It just isn't worth the money.
We always take our own sandwiches, as the food and drink on sale is very overpriced.
However....one year Hubby made the sandwiches and popped them in sandwich bags and put them in the backpack he was carrying.
We got some very strange looks as we walked around (until lunchtime) as he had made egg butties...which smelt awful!!! (Tasted delicious though)When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0
