Brilliant cookware

I received a Le Creuset casserole & grill as a gift recently, I'd always thought they were expensive but are they worth it!! The grill is excellent and cooks meat with the BBQ stripes & flavour on my electric hob at number 3 ( 6 is max) its amazing. I'm also using the casserole dish for everything now, again on a low heat, so energy saving.

And if you want the same thing but a fraction of the price then aldi may still have some of their cast-iron cookware in stock. £20 for a casserole dish and I can't see the difference between the aldi and the le creuset personally.

Just bought one of the dishes from my local Aldi today (they had loads of them and the griddle pans) and they seem to be just the same quality as my mother's Le Crueset.

GKV - you've made the penny drop for me! I bought a Le Creuset griddle in Tesco's sale and have had terrible results - the outside of the food was welded to the pan and the inside was raw. I'll try turning the gas down to 3 and give it another try....
