Personally, for the cost of a stamp (or a phone call) I'd ask to keep it. It costs nothing having the facility there, and avoids all the hassles of having to ask for it back if you ever need it.

I've got the same mortgage, but I haven't been asked to confirm I want to keep my reserve - yet.
  • Many thx for your reply. They sent me a prepaid envelope so wont even cost me a stamp;) - how MSE is that! Maybe it's just general house keeping and I'm reading too much into it....

Always worth keeping in case of emergency, but dont forget to pay it back quickly if you do use it - its charged on SVR! (Unless you have an offset then its charged at pay rate)
  • Thx for that too....:money:
