    Thanks everyone.

It still seems strange. I keep checking my car is still there. (work from home)

If I feel like this now I think I will go crazy when I become debt free in about 4yrs time. I can't wait:j

Considering I was very depressed when I first had my lbm and didn't know where to turn, I am glad that I found these forums. They have saved my life:D .

With the great help and encouragement on here we will all get there. This is better than eating chocolate....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Peb - every so often someone comes round to read the meter. My bills was so high because it covers when they had the price increase in January. It was so cold then that I had the heating on all the time. Big mistake, I try to put it on for a few hours a day and it is always on the lowest setting and I keep checking to see how much the usage is. I still have to pay the last quarters bill which was over £435:eek:

I would like to get one of those oil filled mobile radiators (I think that's what it is called) but it doesn't fit into my budget....;)

I am just going to give myself an update otherwise I think I will go astray.
I have so far had to use £10 out of last weeks shopping budget to buy some more diesel. Got stuck in a traffic jam due to a serious car accident on the motorway yesterday. I was very worried that I wasn't going to make it.
I will replace the £10 and purchase another £10 so it keeps me going until next week.
I had purchase a few things from M&S yesterday eg bread, fruit, veg and mince. I used a voucher that I had since Christmas time so didn't use any of my own money.:D

My ds1 is now back at school and of course received a letter for payment for milk for the term so that will now have to come out of last weeks shopping budget which was left over. Glad that I started this as I would not have had enough money to pay for it.

Today I have paid my council tax £81.89.
Also paid my store card £50 - found out the balance was a little more than I thought. Now at £201.74. Hoping to pay £50 per month should clear within the next 4 months if not then sooner.

I have got college tomorrow. Normally have to pay £2.20 for car parking. I will try and leave early and park somewhere on the street. I may change my mind and just pay the £2.20 to ensure that I don't get a parking ticket. That would really upset me after budgeting so much.

Nice to hear your update and glad your budgeting is working out. Impressive that you've got money left from last week's budget.

  • Yesterday I managed to get a free parking space. I had to walk quite a distance to college so I had the added benefit of some exercise. I will have to try and leave home early just to make sure I am not late on Thursdays.

Even though I managed to save on the parking I had to but some special pens from Staple. cost for this was £3.48. Good job I saved on the parking otherwise I would have spent over £5 in one day.

Also took my own lunch with me and didn't spend any money buy food or drinks during the day:T

I did have to pay the milkman £3.30 for this week. He also gave 2x free pints of grapefruit juice for me to try

Today so far I have spent £20 on diesel which should last me another week. I have lots of travelling to do so it may go quickly.

I also took £40 for shopping this week instead of £50. It is almost at the end of the week and luckly I don't think I will spend much of it.

I now have £36.52 left until Monday. I should be going out tomorrow which will cost me £5 for a ticket. Then I have somewhere else again next Saturaday for another £5. I am not going to go out tomorrow and save myself £5 for next week. I have to use the shopping budget for this as I don't have any other savings to use. Payday is still a few weeks away and I don't want to run out of money during the last week like I always do:o
