How long to boil potatoes?

How about inviting some friends around, and ask them to boil some spuds and time them???

Sorry, perhaps being a bit too scientific but that would be the way to find out if it is you or the equipment; i suspect the cooker/gas pressure.

I was asleep; finally went to bed at 4:30, heard the milkman at 5am and fell asleep soon afterwards; luckily my meeting was at 3 so didn't get up until 10am. What a night.
