I Wanna Music Notation Program

Can anyone recommend a free to download program that will enable me to type in and print off music?

I don't need anything sophisticated, just something that will allow me to enter notes/chords onto a stave and print it.

Thanks

I've never heard of a free download - everyone I know uses Sibelius, widely regarded as the best, but expensive.

Googling produced a free evaluation copy of Mozart here http://www.mozart.co.uk/
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

If you're a student you can get a student version of Sibelius that's cheaper. Failing that, go to the States lol, it's much cheaper over there.

im sure theres pleanty but the vast majority wont need the function to write notes/chord on the stave and print a sheet of music.

its all loops piano roll and drum grids thesedays i think.

Looks as though its the pen and paper for me then. My DD has a melody line with the chords written as letters above the stave. As she can read both treble (recorder) and bass (cello) clefs, I thought it would be good for her to see both parts written down.
