  • Almost all of them except ready made pizzas for those times when I can't be bothered! :) I have yet to find a really, really nice one though although therw is a frozen Tesco one with goats cheese which is okay and Marks & Spencers Margherita (cheese & tomato) is quite good - I also add other stuff to it when I get bored with just cheese and tomato. I suppose a home made pizza from scratch is quite easy too, I just haven't ever bothered.

Amazing that 92% of meals aren't made from scratch though!

We cook all our meals but have a takeout chinese monthly and mcdonalds brekkie monthly too! It tends to be the same weekend!! We only go out on the p*ss once a month and we cant be bothered to cook lol My one bugbear is not weaned off ready sauces yet, still get uncle ben's korma etc, so don't suppose that counts ? TBH, we never had enough dosh as students to eat ready meals, I used to consider them a luxury growing up as my ma wouldnt buy them. Know better now :D

Id say on a usual month, I probably do about 80% cooking from scratch, we dont usually eat that much bread etc (A loaf lasts over two weeks in the freezer!) but I intend on baking my own soon. The only things that come in packets here are crisps, boyf's noodles that he is so fond of for a snack, and the occassional takeaway/meal out. We dont really eat a lot to be honest!

This month things have gone really badly, as the landlord is continually traipsing in and out so we have eaten a lot of junk, and im feeling bad for it - im now coming down with tonsillitis and a bit of a cold! Moving will be like heaven - no interference and I can cook at home as much as I please!

Tinned tomatoes and frozen veg are ingredients, from which you can cook a meal from scratch. After all, we can't all be like an episode of "The Good Life."

Virtually all our meals are home produced on that basis. Tonight was particularly pleasant as the steaks were free, courtesy of the Tesco price policy!

In an average month I'd say we probably cook/ make 70% of our meals from scratch. I say we I really mean my partner unless its a salad and I can manage to open the tin . I do make bread and smoothies and cake etc at times. Although haven't recently must start again soon.So yeah 70% of ours is *proper* food :D.

I would say 85% of meals are made from scratch. The other is maybe a small cheese and tom pizza (cheapie ones) beefburger, sausage or veggie burger which is served with HM chips or HM mash.

    Basic Meals roughly:

Roast Chicken/Lamb, HM Yorkies, HM Roasts, Mash, Veg, Stuffing, Parsnips
HM Chicken & Mush Pie (from left over chicken)
    HM Shepards Pie & Veg
HM Toad In Hole, Mash & Veg
    HM Curry & Rice
    Sausage, Mash & Veg
    HM Fish Pie & Veg
    Lamb Chops, Pots & Veg
    HM Chilli & Rice
Breaded Fish (shop bought frozen), Pots & Veg
Something & HM chips (cheap pizza 35p, burger, grillsteak, kiev, etc)
    Jacket Spud with anything

  • Our meals are probably 95% made from scratch. Saying that, that's as far as I know- it has come to my attention that mysteriously, money has disappeared and-wait for it- been spent at subway   The OH will get an earful soon. I probably would buy the odd ready meal but - embarrassingly- they are not big enough for either of us :o I'd have to buy 2 each and OH would still want a sandwich etc for afters... Are we the only ones who think those portions are TINY???????????
