Starting a Pension

I am almost 21 and work 20hrs per week with Homebase. I would like to start a pension but do not know how to start or how much to contribute. I have only a basicc knowledge of money so need simplistic advice.

Does Homebase offer a pension scheme for employees? If so does it contribute anything to it?
  • If the company does NOT have a pension start and IRA. I suggest a ROTH IRA for young people.

Mentioning US pensions will confuse the OP even further. This is a UK site.

Would the site you linked to have any connection to you by the way? If so it's not allowed, just as it wasn't allowed in your signature.

Suggesting someone joins the IRA has a very different meaning in the UK and could see you arrested ;)
