Not sure if this is the right Board but hope someone can answer me anyway. I am looking for a laptop with windows XP that isnt refurbished (Currys) and is under £400. I would prefer also to buy it in store rather than online as it is to be a surprise for my daughter so dont want a postman turning up with it when she's here and I am at work all the time.
I would consider online though if it is the only option. I have found a few on amazon, company called novatech ? (never heard of them) or the refurbished ones on Currys but really wanted a 'proper' one.
Can anyone advise or recommend anywhere please ?

It would probably be worth checking if someone has one for sale on Gumtree first.
Is there any particualr reason why you don't want a Vista one?0 -
If you decided to buy online I would recommend DELL .Got a VOSTRO with windows XP few months ago it costs around £330.and I'm really pleased with it. Was contacted by phone to arrange delivery so I knew when it would be arriving. hope this helps0
