Underwear help

As those of you who have been following the eBay wedding dress thread will know, I now have my dress!

I am having a dilemma with underwear now. I had originally bought a standard strapless bra to go under it but the strap shows too much between the laces.

Has anyone tried the ones with the clear back strap? Are they any good? I had thought of one of the stick on types but in my size DD would stand for dreadful disaster. i just don't think it would give me enough support and I don't want to spend all day hauling my dress up to feel comfortable.

Any help gratefully received......................

Is there no way you could put a small modesty panel behind the lace up part of the dress? All the dresses I've seen in the shops have them and they just seem to 'popper' on, would be easy enough to do yourself I should think?

Can't help on the clear back bra part, my E's have neer been in anything less than full scaffholding lol. I'm a little worried about a strapless bra for the wedding to be honest...

Hi, I would go for the modesty panel as well, when I tried some dresses on in the shops they put this on, I think it looked better to on me, all you need is a piece of material that colour matches your dress.

My dress came with a modesty panel so will try that next time I have the dress on.

I'd prefer not to wear it though - will have a see what I can find.

Hi Paddingtondoo..wierd i was in M&S last night looking at their underwear and found nothing! We have a similar dress though at the back and was wondering what the modesty panel was? is it the bit that goes behind the lace tie up bit? mine doesn't fit properly and needs adjusting..it will show my skin through if not there surely? Sorry if that sounds dumb!
As for underwear i shall hunt around and see what i come across!

yes it is the bit that goes behind the lace up bit. Mine needs adjusting as well if I end up wearing it.

There's an old fashioned underwear shop in the town near to where I live so am going to go in there and see if they can suggest anything.

Will let you know how I get on.

i've had a similar problem, i've ended up going back to the wedding dress shop and they are going to adjust a strapless bodice thing. It's beautiful but i'm still worried, they said it would be about a month and it's still not done, and the extra panels haven't arrived yet. I'm worried i'll get to nearer the time and it still won't be ready.

I wonder if they do them in clear - do you feel safe when you're wearing it? :o I'm concerned about gravity :rotfl:

Some ladies just prefer not to have the panel there, personally I like it with or without but I have to wear mine with as I have a tattoo i'd like to cover up for the day, plus i'm quite pale so I don't think it'll look quite right! :rotfl:
