When to look for new mortgage deal?

Hi, Our current mortgage deal, with Principality, is up early November - I intend to start looking around at deals now so hopefully I will recognise a good deal when I see one. But how long does it take to sort out a remortgage? When should I be looking to commit to a new mortgage deal to ensure it ties in with current deal ending?
Thank you!
Thank you!

It normally takes 4-6weeks to remortgage.
You can secure deals sooner than this but it depends on how long the mortgage offer lasts. Most last 3 or 6 months. So in reality, you could see a deal in say may that you really like and have it set up to switch in november.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Allow 6-8 weeks to be on the VERY safe side.
