Council Tax Advice Please

Hello,

can someone please help, or advise if this is right and if not how to go about resolving it.

i live in a 1 bedroom flat, this is a quite big house that has been converted into 4 flats, so all 4 tenants will be paying approx £1000 per year council tax each, thats 4 grand to the council, surely this would not be charged if it was still a 1 property.

They have banded it as a band A

do you think i can get this reduced?
as it is 4 flats instead of 1 home would it be very difficult to do this?
4 grand from 1 property so to speak is outrageous.

Hi Steve,

If it is in band A then it is already in the lowest band anyway. The only way you would qualify for a reduction would be on your circumstances, rather than on the value of the flat. For example, if you are living by yourself you would qualify for a reduction.

think how much they make from high risers.

council tax is to cover police, fire services, lighting, roads and a lot more.

you could get 25% reduction if you live alone

i looked after i posted this and realised i was in the lowest band.

yes the money they make out of people like me and high risers is unbelievable, the sooner i am out of this country the better.

come on those 6 numbers
