Looking for something to wear to a wedding, size 24-26.

Options
I have 3 weddings to attend in the next couple of months and I need an outfit, possibly two. I'd like it to be something that I could wear again as in the past I have bought things that aren't 'me' as it were and just purchased them as they fit and not cos I actually liked them.
I've had a look around in a few places that do larger sizes but they tend to only have either really casual or the kind of dressy things that my mum would wear.

I'm always in trousers so was thinking about maybe a skirt or a dress but I couldn't go bare legged so would need tights and as it should be warmer when it comes to the weddings, then maybe I should get a long skirt as opposed to wearing tights.

I just don't know really, anyone have any advice for me? Cheers.

Have you had a look at the Evans website? they do some really nice things and they are reasonably priced.

The black long length linen skirt is really pretty and you could always get three different tops for three different looks

If you go through greasy palm you can also get 4% cashback!

    Hope that helps

Have a look on the Simply Be website. This nice dress is on there in black, pink and mocha up to a 32.

    Hope you get something!

Hi,I received an Evans catalogue today and they have some nice things in there. If you go through Quidco they pay 7%,I have a 10% off code aswell.
  • i had to change a top for my mother in bonmarche, they have just kitted out my nearest store and they now stock a clothing range by david emmanuel and have some beautiful dresses and matching seperates. if you bought a skirt/ trousers you could get 2 or 3 tops to match. the quality is really really good. must admit i always thought it was more an older persons shop but they've got quite trendy and even have stuff i'd wear.
    hope this helps?

Ooh excellent, I have a few more options now that I hadn't thought of. I have 8 weeks before the first wedding and will hopefully need a size smaller with a bit of luck.

Thanks for all the great ideas everyone, as usual you have been fab. :)

Try ebay you can get some good bargains there
  • M & S are now 'phasing in' larger sizes in their 'normal' ranges! They have quite alot, although not all ranges have been reached yet. Defo worth a look, as I never would've done before!
Matalan do a Rogers and Rogers range up to size 28!
Debenhams have a larger sizes sections, as do some BHS stores, and finally, TKMaxx has some great stuff in their 'plus woman' section. (usually US stock, and different to anything else available in our shops!)
Good Luck, but at the end of the day, just enjoy yourself at your Weddings!!!
